From Durham: Take US 15/US 501 south through Sanford, then US 15 to Carthage. Follow NC 24 west to Biscoe, then Alt US 220 north to the stoplight in Star. Follow Asheboro instructiions from that point From Raleigh: Take US 1 south through Sanford, then US 15 to Carthage. Follow NC 24 west to Biscoe, then Alt US 220 north to the stoplight in Star. Follow Asheboro instructiions from that point From Winston-Salem and points west: Either go to US 220 in Greensboro and follow this expressway (future I-73/I-74) to Asheboro and south, or take US 311 south from Winston to US 220 in Randleman. Go south to Asheboro and follow those instructions From Charlotte: Follow NC 24 or NC 27 through Albemarle and Troy to Biscoe, travel north on Alt US 220 to Star, and turn left at the stoplight. Follow Ashboro directions from there. From Pinehurst or Southern Pines and points further east: Follow NC 211 west to Candor, then Alt US 220 north to the stoplight in Star. Follow Asheboro instructiions from that point. If you are coming from Fayetteville or Wilmington, you can use either NC 211 or NC 24 west to get to US 220/I-73/I-74. From Ashboro and all points north: Get off US 220 (future I-73/I-74) expressway at the Ether-Steeds Exit. Travel south to the stop light at the center of Star and make a right over the railroad tracks and follow the main road, which goes to the left. You will cross a second pair of tracks at 0.8 miles and then proceed 1.7 miles more to a mailbox marked 1216. Look for a gray house near the road, then the caution sign for a set of curves on the road. As you approach the latter, look for a neighbor's partially completed home on the right with the mailbox at the start of the driveway Roy & Penny's house is in back of the newly completed house, past the greenhouse. Use the PDF option if you have the Adobe Acrobat
reader; otherwise you can print out a map by downloading the other option,
then following the instructions below:
Unzip the file to a temporary directory. Load the appropriate file into your available software and print. The GIF file will have to be inserted into a new formatted document in your word processor, bitmap editor, or presentation package before printing out a hard copy. The DOC file can be opened and printed from MS Word. |
